Self-Portrait Series

My composite photography self-portraits are an ode to my younger self, who existed in tales of vibrant otherworldly places she didn't know how to make seen. In adulthood, when I realized I could use my photography and digital art skills to put myself into these places, I went all in. The result has been incredibly enriching as each image feels like a small print of my essence documented.

I continue to express my thoughts, feelings, and fantasies in this medium, finding it an incredibly profound form of self-exploration.

Star Summoning

Made during a creativity challenge with a fantasy theme, this image mixes photography and digital painting techniques.

Double Goer

One of my earliest works, the location was shot while visiting family. I later captured my self-portraits, one image utilizing a long exposure to capture a ghostly movement.

Loosely inspired by a story I'd love to write someday, this image captures the surge of a power rising.

Rise

I shot the background location for this image while I was in Reykjavík in 2015. It was my first solo trip outside the U.S. and was filled with wonder and exploration. Today, this image remains one of my most popular and personal favorites.

The Dreamer

An image of a black crystalline tower has haunted my imagination for decades. I often see it in a green sky, surrounded by mists and fireflies.

Hope Light

The location and butterfly wings used in this image were captured during my first visit to Niagara Falls. That visit was during a time of renewal and excitement after immense burnout, and so this image carries that feeling for me as well.
